FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — A woman has been arrested after the shooting death of her mother in Flagstaff, according to authorities.

The Flagstaff Police Department arrested Mea Brodie in connection with the killing of Doris Brodie on Oct. 19.

Police said offers were called to a home in the 1600 block of East Terrance after a noise complaint.

Officers heard a gunshot when they arrived at the home. When Mea Brodie opened the door, she confirmed the sound had been a gunshot. Officers reportedly detained her.

The body of Doris Brodie was found in the home's living room, police said.

Mea Brodie is expected to face murder charges in connection with the incident, authorities said.
