A TAMWORTH man accused of kidnapping, and throwing a woman into a wall and across the room, will have to wait to see what charges prosecutors will press ahead with.

Matthew Gary Adams is out on NSW Supreme Court bail, living back in Tamworth, and faces 12 "serious" domestic violence-related charges.

According to court documents, the 37-year-old is accused of intentionally suffocating the complainant in Tamworth; throwing her across the room, as well as into a wall; pinning her to the ground and sitting on her; pushing his legs into her chest and toso; using a towel over her face to prevent her from breathing; dragging her along the floor by her hair; detaining the woman with intent to conceal offences and prevent his arrest; and damaging a hallway wall.
