The EBC Joint Action Committee has called for legal action against individuals inciting caste-based hatred and defaming forward castes. At a round-table in Hyderabad, leaders reaffirmed their support for constitutional reservations and announced a new committee to address economic and social concerns.
Hyderabad: Decrying what they called “hate-filled propaganda” by certain individuals posing to be representatives of specific communities, the EBC Joint Action Committee, representing economically backward classes within the forward castes, on Sunday called for stringent legal measures to address the issue.
At a round table conference held at the Somajiguda Press Club, the JAC leaders called for police action against those inciting caste-based violence and disrupting social harmony.
