Hollywood star Robert De Niro railed against the Trump administration Sunday in an appearance on MSNBC, calling White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller a “Nazi,” while warning that President Donald Trump had no intentions on leaving the White House after his term ends in early 2029.
“He will not want to leave!” De Niro said, appearing on MSNBC’s “The Weekend” show when asked whether he believed Trump would willingly vacate the White House following his second term. “He set it up with his, I guess he's the [German Nazi Joseph] Goebbels of the cabinet Steven Miller, he's a Nazi – yes he is, and he's Jewish, he should be ashamed of himself.”
De Niro has long been a critic of Trump, calling him “stupid,” a “punk,” a “dog” and a “bull---- artist” back in 2016, noting that he’d “like to punch him in the face.” His disdain for Trump has only grown since then, with De Niro urging Americans to continue “fighting” against his administration, using Saturday’s “No Kings” protests – attended by millions – as a template.
“We have to keep fighting and pushing until he is out, period! There's no other way, he's not going to want to leave the White House,” De Niro said.
“What is he facing? He's facing certain things no matter what the Supreme Court thinks, they're going to find a way to go after him for what he's done, all the awful monstrous things that he's done. He's not going to want to leave; why should he?”
De Niro has faced blowback from many of Trump’s supporters, clashing with some in a
heated exchangein New York City, New York last year.
