Kevin Durant signed with the Houston Rockets after long-term trade speculation from several teams this offseason. However, he became the highest-paid player in NBA history after signing a $90 million extension with the Rockets. Despite the massive number, Durant reportedly turned down about $30 million from the max offer to help the Rockets build strongly.

The deal also includes a player option for the 2027-28 season as revealed by his business partner, Rich Kleiman.
