Hitting his head on the Nissan Stadium turf, Drake Maye was taken out of the New England Patriots’ game against the Tennessee Titans in the third quarter. However, worries about a potential head injury were short-lived.

After missing only three snaps, the second-year quarterback returned to the game.

Maye’s injury scare happened on a 6-yard scramble on New England’s first drive of the second half. He was taken down by cornerback Roger McCreary, and came down hard in the process. He remained on the ground for a bit, but did manage to get up without any obvious limitations.

Nonetheless, the league’s unaffiliated medical team opted to remove him for a checkup. Maye headed into the blue medical tent on the sideline but shortly thereafter reemerged and returned to the game.
