CHICAGO (WLS) -- Popular singer Brandy walked off stage during a Saturday night concert at Chicago's United Center after experiencing "dehydration and feelings of wanting to faint," she said in a statement.

It happened during a performance for Brandy and Monica's "The Boy Is Mine" tour.

Brandy said "despite not feeling OK," she tried to return with some adjustments to the show, but "it was impossible to fully connect sonically with the production."

She thanked Monica and the concert crew for continuing the performance in her absence, saying, "I'm deeply grateful to my sister, Monica, for stepping up with such grace and professionalism and the entire crew for their continued care and support."
