More than 200,000 people showed up for the “No Kings” protest in D.C. on Saturday, Oct. 18, joining about 7 million people at similar demonstrations throughout the country, according to the event’s organizers.
This was the third such anti-authoritarian demonstration since convicted felon and President Donald Trump returned to the White House. Trump wasn’t in D.C. during the protest—he left the District on Friday and flew to his Mar-a-Lago golf resort in Florida, where he hosted a $1 million-per-plate fundraiser for MAGA Inc, according to the Associated Press.
