THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has approved 81 new PG seats in the state, which includes two seats specifically for Nuclear Medicine. Kozhikode Medical College will receive these two seats. This is the first time the state has received PG seats in Nuclear Medicine.

Minister Veena George said that this is also the first time PG studies in Nuclear Medicine are being offered in a state medical college in the country.

Apart from this, PG seats have been allotted in other colleges as follows:

Alappuzha Medical College: 17 seats

Ernakulam Medical College: 15 seats

Kannur Medical College: 15 seats

Kollam Medical College: 30 seats

Malabar Cancer Centre: 2 seats
