LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Highly acclaimed sportswriter and New York Times best-selling author Jeff Pearlman has covered a lot throughout his career.

Through it all, the Mahopac, New York native has always shown plenty of California Love, writing books on both the Showtime and the Shaq-and-Kobe Lakers.

Pearlman stopped by the ABC7 studios Sunday to discuss his new book, "Only God Can Judge Me: The Many Lives of Tupac Shakur," which is shedding new light on the life and death of the legendary rapper.
