Just two days after injuring his knee during Friday’s Game 5 American League Championship Series loss in Seattle, George Springer is in the lineup for the Toronto Blue Jays in Sunday night’s must-win Game 6 against the Mariners.

The Jays, who trail the Mariners 3-2 in the best-of-seven ALCS and must stave off elimination tonight, plan to start Springer as the designated hitter in his typical leadoff spot.

Springer left Friday’s Game 5 in Seattle after taking a pitch off his knee from Seattle’s Bryan Woo.
