The identity of the new Chaser , Maverick, on ITV's The Chase has finally been revealed. ‌

The popular spin-off show , Beat the Chasers, sees contestants from across the nation pitting their wits against the legendary Chasers in a series of multiple-choice questions before facing off against the quiz masters in a timed round for the chance to win huge cash prizes. ‌

The formidable team comprises Mark Labbett (The Beast), Paul Sinha (The Sinnerman), Anne Hegerty (The Governess), Jenny Ryan (The Vixen), Shaun Wallace (The Dark Destroyer) and Darragh Ennis (The Menace). ‌

However, in a surprising twist during Sunday's (October 19) series 7 finale, fan favourite Darragh was absent, with Maverick stepping into his shoes.
