CHICAGO— Dennis Allen’s tenure with the New Orleans Saints unraveled last season when center Erik McCoy suffered a significant groin injury that sidelined him for two months.

In an unfortunate twist for the offensive line, McCoy again got hurt with his now former coach watching from the opposing sideline.

Saints coach Kellen Moore said there’s “concern” that McCoy suffered a serious biceps injury in Sunday’s 26-14 loss to the Chicago Bears. McCoy was seen leaving the locker room with his arm in a sling.

Moore said there was a “potential” fear that McCoy, who got hurt in the fourth quarter, tore his biceps and is waiting for further testing.

“We’ll have to see what his bicep, elbow looks like,” Moore said.
