The Carolina Panthers will be riding a three-game win streak when they host the Buffalo Bills in Week 8, but they may be without their starting quarterback.

In the third quarter of the Panthers’ 13-6 win over the New York Jets, quarterback Bryce Young exited the game with an ankle injury. Carolina listed Young as questionable to return, but the former first-round pick was held out for the remainder of the game.

Post-game, Panthers head coach Dave Canales provided an update on the quarterback.

“Evaluating him for the right ankle,” Canales told the media. “So we’re taking all the information. We’re going to look at him when we get home some more and see where we are at.”

Canales added that the injury occurred on a third-down play when Young was trying to get away from defenders.
