The Eagles offense was able to be efficient for a good portion of Sunday’s game against the Vikings, but halfway through the fourth quarter, Saquon Barkley was tackled and slow to get up. While down on one knee, Barkley began punching the ground with his right arm as trainers surrounded him. He was able to leave the field under his own power, and was then shown with a team doctor looking at his left shoulder.
Despite this, in the minutes that followed, it turns out Barkley was actually evaluated for a concussion. Ultimately, he was cleared to return and was able to get back on the field with just under two minutes left to play — and the first play call was a Barkley run, so things at least weren’t bad enough to keep him from the action.
Fortunately, the Eagles offense seems to have figur
