MIAMI, Fla. – Former chairman of the neo-fascist organization known as the Proud Boys attended Miami’s ‘No Kings’ demonstration against President Trump this past weekend. Proud Boys have been known to promote political violence.
Enrique Tarrio, 42, led the group for three years until being convicted on multiple felonies including seditious conspiracy and obstruction of law enforcement for helping organize the January 6 attacks on the U.S. Capitol.
Tarrio was sentenced to 22 years in prison and served two before President Trump pardoned him on the day of his inauguration for his second term in office.
Other demonstrators were told by ‘No Kings’ event organizers not to engage with Tarrio, who was livestreaming the event. Miami police later escorted him away from the demonstration.
