A western suburbs netball club has won a grant to help enhance inclusivity and reduce financial barriers for players.
Wembley Netball Club in Jolimont was one of only four clubs across WA to receive a $2000 funding boost this year as part of the 2025 Woolworths Netball Grants.
The funding helps upgrade or provide new facilities, equipment, uniforms or services to clubs across the country , as well as helping to improve nutrition for members.
Wembley Netball Club president Cat Bon Felton said the funds would help ease the financial burden of membership fees for young players.
“Being a grassroots sport organisation, we’re hoping to just build inclusivity and reduce any financial barriers to players, so we’re trying to get the price down for participants as much as possible,” she
