Manchester United are reportedly monitoring Coventry City midfielder George Shepherd.

The 16-year-old was named on the first team bench for Saturday's Championship clash against Blackburn Rovers. It comes after the teenager impressed while making his first appearance for the club's U21s earlier this season.

Shepherd's positive performances have seen former Chelsea midfielder, now Sky Blues manager, Frank Lampard include him in their promotion-chasing squad.
