A 32-year-old man wanted for questioning in last week’s attempted homicide of a Macomb Township businessman was taken into custody Sunday evening in Warren, authorities said.

The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office SWAT, assisted by the Warren Police Department, the FBI Violent Crimes and Gang Task Force, and the sheriff’s MCSO SET unit, executed a search warrant on a residence on Rivard Avenue on Warren’s south end where the arrest was made.

Investigators said the search warrant was served about 5 p.m.

“We’re doing interviews right now as we put the case together,” said Sheriff Anthony Wickersham. “Once we get everything in order, I’m sure we will release additional information.”
