A double-fronted, three-bedroom home located in one of Prahran’s most coveted pockets has sold for $2.055 million in post-auction negotiations after passing in at $1.970 million on Saturday morning.

Number 30 Spring Street had a price range of $1,900,000 to $2,000,000 and a reserve of $2 million. Selling agent, Alex Noutsos from Belle Property Armadale, said only one bidder, who was in attendance but also represented by a buyer’s agent, participated in the auction.

“She had sold her home in South Yarra and was looking to upsize,” he said. Noutsos said that the property “needed some twigging”, which may have been a deterrent for some.

“There had been other interested parties, but I think knowing that they’d have to do some work may have put them off, and they looked elsewhere.”
