The Denver Broncos taught sports fans across the world an important lesson on Sunday – never give up, because the game isn't over until the clock hits zero.

The Broncos entered the fourth quarter of their game against the New York Giants on Sunday trailing 19-0. By the end of the game, they had pulled out a narrow 33-32 victory despite at one point still trailing by 18 points with just six minutes remaining in the game. The Broncos' 33-point fourth quarter set a new NFL record for the most points scored in the final period of play by a team which finished the third quarter with zero points. The Broncos also snapped a streak 1,602-game streak by NFL teams of winning the game while holding an 18-or-more point lead when entering the final six minutes of the game.

It seemed as if everything that could go wrong, did go wrong for the Broncos multiple times, yet they finally created enough madness to snag the game from the jaws of defeat without even needing to force overtime. The madness started when Broncos' quarterback Bo Nix completed a touchdown pass and helped convert a two-point conversion to get Denver on the scoreboard and bring them within 11 points with 14 minutes left to play in the game, but the Giants quickly answered by driving down the field for a score and taking four more minutes off the clock. And that's when things truly unraveled for the Giants.

It took a minute for the Broncos to get back in the endzone, but Nix finally delivered another touchdown with his legs with 5:13 left to play in the game – and then he would go on to have a video game type of late-game rally, adding one more passing touchdown and one more rushing touchdown in just the next three-and-a-half minutes of game play. But that wasn't the game for the Broncos.

The Giants got the ball back with enough time to dash down the field and with a the help of a couple big penalties, including a controversial pass interference call, were able to score a go-ahead touchdown with a bit over 30 seconds remaining – but then they failed to convert the extra point. The Broncos immediately converted two passes to move the ball 50 yards into field goal range, where kicker Will Lutz sealed the victory with a walk-off field – and also sealed the Broncos their place in NFL history.
