TUALATIN Ore. (KPTV) - The West Coast Giant Pumpkin Regatta returned to Tualatin on Sunday, bringing in hundreds of spectators ready to celebrate the fall season.
“Racing a giant pumpkin, when do you ever get to see that?” said Kendra Huntington, Miss Majestic Lakes 2025 and a regatta volunteer.
From a wide variety of food trucks, art vendors and pumpkin-themed activities, the West Coast Giant Pumpkin Regatta had something for everybody. But the giant pumpkin boat race around the Lake of the Commons is what brought in crowds from far and wide.
“It’s exhilarating!” said Avuyile Mabija, who is from South Africa. “It’s an exciting thing. It’s different, it’s new, it’s fresh, so I am excited to see that.”
