Geelong have farewelled midfielder Cameron Guthrie after confirming the veteran has not been offered a contract for 2026.

The Cats announced the decision on Monday, bringing an end to a brilliant 240-game career at the Cats.

Guthrie, 33, departs the club as a two-time best and fairest winner, including in 2022 when Geelong won the premiership.

Injury restricted Guthrie to just 10 more games after the 2022 grand final as his body continued to let him down.

As well as the best and fairest award in 2022, Guthrie was also the club champion in 2020 — the same year he was named an All-Australian. Loading Tweet
