Food, toys and care need items were dropped off at Sun Canyon Bank

A West Valley animal shelter got a gift of more than 100 items of food, toys and more courtesy of a Sun City West bank.

Sun Valley Animal Shelter in Glendale relies on community donations, and the organization recently took part in a pet supply donation drive in collaboration with Sun Canyon Bank in Sun City West,

The donation drive will help the pets and volunteers at the no-kill shelter, 7150 N. 110th Ave.

Shelter Director Zach Valdivia has been with the organization for the past 11 years and said while they do have regular donors, the local drives such as this are what keep them running.

“We are an all donation-based completely ran shelter and if we do not get items donated, especially food, we have to go pay for it
