A suspicious hunting stand was discovered near Palm Beach International Airport, raising security concerns for US President Donald Trump. The stand, which has a clear line of sight to the area where Trump exits Air Force One, was found during routine security checks on Thursday. The US Secret Service reported the finding, prompting an investigation by the FBI.

FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed that the stand has not been linked to any individual, stating, "Prior to the President's return to West Palm Beach, USSS discovered what appeared to be an elevated hunting stand within the sight line of the Air Force One landing zone." He added that no individuals were present at the scene and that the FBI is collecting evidence and using cell phone analytics to aid the investigation.

In response to the potential threat, a White House official noted that Trump boarded Air Force One using a small stairway on Sunday due to increased security measures. The Secret Service's chief of communications, Anthony Guglielmi, stated that the agency is collaborating closely with the FBI and local law enforcement. He emphasized that the discovery of the stand was part of advance security preparations and confirmed that there was no impact on Trump's movements.

Eric Trump, the former president's son, also commented on the situation, praising the Secret Service for their vigilance. He described the stand's location as being directly across from the airport and facing the Air Force One stairs.

This incident comes in the wake of previous security threats against Trump, including a recent assassination attempt by Ryan Routh, who was found guilty of plotting to kill Trump while he was golfing in West Palm Beach. Routh is scheduled to be sentenced on December 18 and faces a potential life sentence.

The discovery of the hunting stand highlights ongoing security challenges for the former president, who has faced multiple threats during his political career. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are taking the matter seriously to ensure the safety of Trump and those around him.
