VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Just outside the Virginia Beach Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff Rocky Holcomb held the 2nd annual Trunk or Treat event for the community.
Families lined the streets outside the sheriff’s office decked out in their costumes, visiting various themed trunks to collect candy and prizes. "The peer support team got together, and we chose Inside Out," said Lt. Ryan Velazquez. "Peer support is a group of deputies who are specifically trained in incident stress management. We made our own board where kids can play and touch lights. And candy coming out of a chute is always a fun thing."
