Former India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has slammed the team management for dropping Kuldeep Yadav for the first ODI against Australia in Perth. India played three all-rounders in their playing XI as they handed a debut to Nitish Kumar Reddy and also played Washington Sundar and Axar Patel alongside him.
However, despite having the batting depth, India could only score 136 in the rain-curtailed 26-over match and ended up losing by seven wickets. Following India’s defeat, Ashwin questioned the team’s playing combination, mentioning how Kuldeep would’ve been handy on the big grounds of Australia.
