A South Australian father has pleaded guilty to the criminal neglect of his seven-year-old son who died after not being treated for pneumonia in 2022.

Shane McKenzie Wanganeen was due to face trial this week for manslaughter and criminal neglect, but the former charge was dropped upon him entering a guilty plea to criminal neglect.
