JEFFERSON — Young chess players arrived at Henderson Memorial Public Library Saturday to hone their skills against other like-minded individuals from Ashtabula County.

The Ashtabula County Junior Chess Tournament has taken place at the library for nine years and will be followed Saturday with a tournament for high school students and adults.
