Social media users around the world may have noticed a surge of AI-generated videos on their feeds in the past few weeks, with an expert warning that this may drive some away from platforms.
OpenAI launched its latest video generator Sora on September 30, described as being "more physically accurate, realistic, and more controllable" than ever before.
"Sora 2 can do things that are exceptionally difficult - and in some instances outright impossible - for prior video generation models," OpenAI said.
Sora is available to use but is currently operating as an invite-only program until the company rolls out access for everyone.
