SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - The University of Sioux Falls women’s soccer team celebrated Senior Day in storybook fashion, storming back from an early deficit to take down Wayne State 2–1.
The win marked the program’s first-ever victory over the Wildcats and cemented a series of new records in the Cougars’ NCAA Division II era.
Wayne State struck first in the eighth minute when Molly Riggins slipped one into the net to give the Wildcats an early lead.
From there, the Cougars pushed forward, creating several chances but couldn’t find the equalizer before halftime.
That all changed right out of the break.
Just 86 seconds into the second half, Addison Van Zee buried the tying goal off an assist from Martina Krattley, swinging momentum back to the home side.
