Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha Saturday expressed his regret for inadvertently mentioning alliance partner Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) while referring to two banned militant groups during a speech at a poll rally in Bihar earlier that day.

Taking to social media Sunday evening, Saha said he “unintentionally uttered” the name of IPFT while talking about All Tripura Tiger Force (ATTF) and the National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT), and expressed his regrets.

He also contacted IPFT chief Prem Kumar Reang, and regretted the “unintentional error”.

“While addressing in Bihar, I unintentionally uttered IPFT while referring to ATTF and NLFT. After the matter came to my notice, I sincerely regretted this unintentional mistake after contacting IPFT president Shri Prem Kuma
