Three victims were transported to the hospital early Sunday morning just after 12 a.m. after being attacked and stabbed outside Mavericks Beach Club located at 860 Garnet Ave. in Pacific Beach, according to the San Diego Fire Department.

It is unknown what led to the stabbing, but the establishment was able to confirm to NBC 7 that the victims of the attack were three of Mavericks Beach Club's security guards.

The beach club's representatives shared the following statement: "We are deeply saddened by the incident that occurred last night in which three of our security guards were attacked outside our establishment.
