A United Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 8 flight travelling from Denver to Los Angeles was forced to make an emergency landing after its windshield cracked midair, injuring one of the pilots.
United Flight 1093 was carrying 134 passengers and six crew members when the incident occurred on Thursday, a United Airlines spokesperson confirmed.
The plane, flying at 36,000 feet, was suddenly struck by an unidentified object that smashed through the multilayered glass window, leaving the pilot bloodied and bruised. Tiny, shattered glass reportedly covered the cockpit.
