The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders targeted Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin over his Diwali wish for “those who have faith", accusing him of discrimination against Hindus.

Speaking about an event, he said, “When I reached the stage, many gave me bouquets, books, and some didn’t know what to tell me. Some hesitated whether to wish me on Diwali or not. They thought, ‘What if he gets angry if we wish?’ I am saying Happy Diwali to those who have faith."

Udhayanidhi is the son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and party chief MK Stalin. His remarks drew a sharp response from the BJP.
