October might've been when the local events calendar started heating up, as the Sarasota area's off-season comes to a close and snowbirds begin to flock back, yet November looks to be even busier.

Some of Sarasota's biggest annual events return next month, such as a festival where creations are sculpted out of Siesta Beach's world-famous sand . There'll also be parades commemorating Veteran's Day, and celebrating the winter holiday season, one happening as early as the first week of November. Then there'll be plenty of the concerts, comedy shows, stage productions, art exhibitions and other events that our area hosts year-round.
