(NewsNation) — An Amazon Web Services outage has downed dozens of websites and apps early Monday morning.
The company's cloud service provides infrastructure for many governments and companies. Applications like Snapchat, Roblox, Duolingo and Fortnite were all affected, according to outage detecting site DownDetector.
The outage also affected Amazon Alexa, Ring cameras, airport kiosks and more.
Problems began around 3 a.m. EDT, when the company reported “increased error rates" with "multiple AWS services," according to its status page.
As 5:30 a.m. EDT, the company reported seeing "significant signs of recovery."
"We continue to work through a backlog of queued requests,” an update reads.
