Amazon’s cloud unit Amazon Web Services is currently experiencing an outage which is sparking online chaos on several global websites including Snapchat.

Users are reporting disruptions across many platforms including Roblox, Fortnite, Life360, Clash Royale, PlayStation, Canva, Hinge and more.

Website monitor Downdetector recorded a major spike in outages on October 20, and Amazon Web Services confirmed the issue on its health dashboard.

“We can confirm increased error rates and latencies for multiple AWS Services in the US-EAST-1 Region,” the Amazon subsidiary posted.

They said engineers had been engaged, and based on an initial investigation, the issue appears to be related to DNS resolution DynamoDB API endpoint in US-EAST-1.

More to come.
