The BBC ‘s international docs strand Storyville has a new leader.

Channel 4 ‘s Nevine Mabro has been hired as Head of Storyville and will begin her new role in January 2026, reporting Fiona Campbell, the BBC’s Controller of Youth Audiences and Interim Director of Unscripted.

The role was created earlier this year when the BBC shuttered a trio of other positions at the strand , namely lead commissioner, commissioning editor and commissioning co-ordinator. Emma Hindley exited in that restructure.

Mabro will join the BBC with 25 years of experience in world news and docs under her belt. At Channel 4, she was a commissioning editor specializing in international docs and current affairs. Besides commissioning BAFTA, Peabody and Grierson-winning programs, she headed up the long-running
