US musician Ryan Adams has slammed Australians after a disastrous cross-Tasman tour saw fans leave his gigs early.
Adams wrapped up his run of shows across Australia and New Zealand on Saturday with a performance at the Bruce Mason Centre in Auckland.
The tour was supposed to celebrate the 25th anniversary of his critically acclaimed debut solo album Heartbreakers, but has instead resulted in him saying he will “never again” play Down Under.
In a now-deleted Instagram post, the seven-time Grammy nominee described Australia as the “worst country ever, every time to play. Thank f*** never again”.
“You are the worst people and you know it and the best you can go is copy Americans and UK culture,” the post reads.
“Stew in your own juices.”
