When it comes to wine, the variety of grapes makes all the difference. The same can be said when it comes to chocolate and its flavor profile. Instead of grapes, it's all about the bean.
A Massachusetts chocolate maker is on a mission to change what people think about the sweet treat.
"I think the most important thing we want people to understand about what we do is that chocolate is a food and not a candy," said Tom Rogan, of Goodnow Farms Chocolate in Sudbury.
Rogan and his wife, Monica, first started making chocolate 20 years ago. Back then, it was more of a hobby and a necessity.
"Many, many years ago, my husband and I couldn’t find chocolate that we enjoyed eating," Monica Rogan said.
