A massive internet outage appears to have been resolved after thousands of users were unable to access their favourite apps. We reported this morning that a number of huge apps crashed .
Reports of issues surged on DownDetector this morning, Monday, October 20. Thousands of users raised problems with Snapchat, Roblox, Lloyds Bank , Fortnite, Duolingo, Wordle and many others.
Many of the issues appeared linked to Amazon Web Services, a platform that supports much of the modern internet. That meant Amazon itself had issues, along with several of its top brands like Ring and Alexa.
Problems began to be raised on DownDetector between 7.30am and 8am and quickly spiked. On Snapchat, reports peaked at about 7,500 at around 10am.
