The Lambton Lions’ bid for their first OCAA baseball title came up short again as they settled for bronze medals Saturday.
The top-seeded Lions dropped two of three games at the year-end tournament in Tecumseh and were knocked out with a 12-5 loss to the eventual champion Fanshawe Falcons.
They were looking to improve on last year’s silver medals.
“We’ve got the silver and the bronze,” head coach Al Bezaire said. “We just need one more for the collection, so hopefully that’ll be next year.”
The Lions won their first nine games and went 12-6 in the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association regular season.
