Myshel Wilkins has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in Christian music, including Mandisa and TobyMac. But nothing compared to the joy she and her husband, Michael, felt when they found out they were expecting their first child.

“We were so excited,” Myshel remembers. “We had colors and names and parties — everything you could imagine.”

That excitement turned to heartbreak during what was supposed to be a routine appointment.

“We were all excited to hear the baby's heartbeat again,” Michael recalls. “But then the nurse said, ‘I’m so sorry. There’s no longer a heartbeat.’”

The loss was devastating.
