Indian Railways carries over 1 crore passengers between October 1-19, to add 8,000+ special trains for Diwali and Chhath rush

Indian Railways has carried more than one crore passengers on special trains between October 1 and 19, 2025. With festive travel expected to peak, the Railways will run over 8,000 additional special services for Diwali and Chhath.
