Storm Team 10 and the National Hurricane Center is monitoring a tropical wave that has entered into the eastern Caribbean Sea.
This wave is expected to slowly move westward in the coming days where it will continue to organize. The NHC has a 80% chance this develops into a tropical system in the next seven days. The next name on the list is Melissa.
Fortunately, most models are showing this disturbance moving into the central Caribbean Sea followed by a hard northerly turn towards the Atlantic. The forecast uncertainty is high at this time but this does not look like a threat to reach the Gulf.
