DETROIT - A national recording artist from Michigan will perform the national anthem at tonight’s “ Monday Night Football ” game between the Lions and the Buccaneers at Ford Field.

Southfield native and graduate of Birmingham Groves High School, Caleb Carroll , will sing the “Star Spangled Banner” right before kickoff tonight, scheduled for shortly after 7:00 p.m.

Carroll, who first performed the national anthem when he was 12 at an Oakland University basketball game, is becoming a bit of a regular at big Detroit sporting events.

The gospel recording artist performed the anthem at the Lions-Commanders playoff game this past January.

He has also performed it at other Lions , Tigers and Pistons games, including the Tigers ALDS game 3 last year and at the NFL Draft in Detroit
