MASHANTUCKET, Conn. — The Ledyard Police Department and Connecticut State Police say they are assisting Mashantucket police at Foxwoods Resort Casino.

The reason for the involvement is unknown at this time.

FOX61's Glenn Kittle reported seeing a large number of local and state police vehicles heading down to the casino. Many state police vehicles were seen on Fox Tower Drive inside the casino's campus.
