Visitors to New Bedford and Fall River can explore art, history and climate action during the New (Bedford) Fall (River) Weekend, scheduled for Oct. 24 and 25. The New Bedford Whaling Museum is joining the celebration with a new exhibit and two climate-focused programs featuring author and activist Bill McKibben.
The weekend is a regional collaboration led by Explore New Bedford and Viva Fall River , along with the Southeastern Massachusetts Visitors Bureau and the New Bedford Whaling Museum , according to a community announcement. The initiative highlights cultural attractions in both cities and promotes the accessibility of the area via the new South Coast Rail line.
