Several apps, including Amazon , Fortnite and Snapchat were experiencing problems after a massive global outage.
Amazon Web Services reported issues with hundreds of online services, gaming platforms and various apps, starting shortly after 12 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 20.
As of 5 a.m. MT/6 a.m. CT, AWS said the situation was mitigated, and the company was working towards full recovery.
“The underlying DNS issue has been fully mitigated, and most AWS Service operations are succeeding normally now,” the company said.
Apps impacted included Snapchat, Reddit, Amazon, Roblox, Fortnite and more, according to downdetector.com. Snapchat alone had nearly 23,000 users reporting issues with the app early Monday.
